First Post: Sea-Hear

So hey. This is the first post on my blog. Basically I'm setting out to record what goes on in my life, by way of noting what i'm looking at, listening to, or experiencing.

The aim is to stop at the end of the summer, but who knows. If it gets some love then it may continue.

So strictly speaking I haven't finished by exams, but I only have one left, and another two weeks to revise for it (will start tomorrow by the way) so I've been free to roam Bristol for a week. To be honest I've gotten a little bored, as everyone else has been pre-occuppied with revision. But I have enjoyed many a coffee at Woodes and many an hour reading at Brandon Hill Park. Needed the time I think, but now I need human interaction.

Sea-Hear

Today I bought the new British Sea Power album Man Of Aran. The album is a soundtrack to the 1934 film of the same name. It comes with an Audio CD, as well as a DVD of the film. So far I have only listened to the CD, and it is very good, easily one of the best soundtracks I've heard in recent memory.

The Full DVD listing : the following are the 3 options of soundtrack to complement the original theme.

literally as I wrote this with the CD on, the weather in Bristol turned from bright south-west sunshine to Aran-esque wind and rain.

But yeah, if anyone wants to get together and watch the film, just say so. I'll abstain from watching it, so everyone has fresh eyes.
